Borrow money without a bank

When you want to borrow money, you will in most cases recommend this at a bank, but what if banks are no longer willing to grant you a loan? If you have a BKR code or the amount you want to borrow is too low, a bank will indeed not want to help you, but what then? Are there alternatives for people who do not want to borrow money from a bank? There are certainly! If you have a BKR code, you can, for example, choose to borrow money from one of the special credit bureaus for people who have a BKR code. On the other hand, these people also have the option of taking out a loan from a foreign bank, although that is a little less simple than you might think at first sight.

Borrowing money without a bank does have a number of disadvantages. First of all, the cost price of a loan from financial institutions other than a bank is almost always more expensive. In the event that someone has a BKR coding, this has everything to do with the fact that the financial office runs a certain risk. After all, a BKR coding is only awarded to people who have not been able to meet their financial obligations in the past. So keep this in mind if you want to borrow money without a bank.

Borrowing money without a bank abroad can therefore also be an option, although that is usually a bit more difficult. The problem with borrowing money abroad lies in the fact that banks will ask themselves why you turned to them, and not just a bank in your home country. As a result of this question, a foreign bank will conduct a much more thorough investigation into your financial history and current situation. Only when it can be decided that there is absolutely no risk at all associated with granting a loan will your credit application be approved.
