Cherry Creek’s Licht captures 2021 MaxPreps / NFCA High School first player of the fall week


LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Amanda Licht of Cherry Creek High School (Greenwood Village, Colorado) won the MaxPreps / NFCA High School first player of the week for the fall 2021 season. Licht is recognized for her outstanding performance during the week of 16-22 August.

Licht got off to a flying start at home, going 13 for 15 (0.867) with five homers and 17 RBIs in the first five games of the season. The senior added two doubles and 11 runs to go along with her 2,000-stroke percentage. In back-to-back games, Licht has scored twice and recorded four hits in wins over Fort Collins (4 RBIs) and Mountain View (6 RBIs). She also left the court in the season opener against Castle View (2-3, 2 RBI, 2 R). She finished the week with a pair of doubles, five RBIs and two runs against Northridge., the official provider of high school statistics for the NFCA, provides all statistics for the NFCA High School Player of the Week award. To nominate a player, a coach must enter their athlete’s playing stats into by Sunday night to be eligible for that week’s prize.

MaxPreps / NFCA High School Player of the Week announced on every Monday during the fall season. During the spring campaign, one player from each of the five separate high school regions is selected.
