The San Diego County COVID-19 Trigger Dashboard runs from 5 to 8, with triggers hitting their mark beating triggers that sadly miss the mark. The case rate of 26.1 per 100,000 is significantly higher than the 1.9 attributed. Community outbreaks are off the table, so the trigger is seven in a seven day period and the county is currently at 56 community epidemics over a seven day period.

In Coronado, in the middle of the month, positive cases seem better so far than in July and August.

At Coronado schools, open to in-person learning with safety measures in place, CUSD updates a COVID dashboard every Monday with the number of current active cases at that time. Below is a graph showing data for the last three Mondays. The graph shows both the number of employees and students as well as a breakdown by location.

According to the CUSD website: “The purpose of this data is to provide our families and staff in the Coronado Unified School District with a transparent summary of active COVID-19 cases on site. An active case indicates that a student or staff member participating in on-site activities has tested positive for an active COVID-19 infection. Individuals who test positive are excluded from participation in any in-person / on-site activity and are required to self-quarantine as per protocol established by the San Diego County Department of Health. Once the case is allowed to return, the case will be removed from active status and the dashboard will be updated.
