2022 NCAA DI Men’s Golf Championships: Scores, Updates

We are down to just 15 teams at the 2022 DI Men’s Golf Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club. After 52 holes of play, the line for the top 15 was set at 37-over.

Things got interesting late on Sunday. Bogies from Georgia Tech and Texas A&M; late in the round brought both to 37 points. If the two finish there, it would force a playoff between the two teams with Ole Miss, who ended her run earlier in the day.

With the last two players from both schools entering the final hole, the Yellow Jackets were able to hold to 37-over and make the cut with a birdie on 18 from Bartley Forrester. The Aggies fell to 38 after Sam Bennett and Daniel Rodrigues carded bogies on the last hole. This made Ole Miss and Georgia Tech the last two teams to make the top 15.

At the top of the standings, Oklahoma still sits in first place at 1 under in the tournament. The Sooners will target that top seed for match play before Monday.

In the individual standings, Vanderbilt’s Gordon Sargent is in the lead at 4 under with Oklahoma’s Chris Gotterup just behind at 3 under. The individual champion and the top eight teams that advance to match play will be decided after Monday’s fourth round.
