Michigan State Baseball Hosting Summer Camps

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State Baseball will host three camps this summer. The Spartans will host two youth camps (ages 6-12), June 20-22 and July 18-20, and a full camp (ages 13-18), July 18-20.

CAMP INFORMATION/REGISTRATION


The three camps are led by the head coach Jake Boss Jr. and Spartan staff, in addition to current players.


Youth camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day, while full camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

3 day youth camps

When: June 20-22 and July 18-20

Or: McLane Baseball Stadium

Weather: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. each day **(First day arrive a little early for registration)

Age: 6 – 12 years old ** (camp participants will be with children of the same age at all times)

The description: We will be doing daily drills focused on using the proper fundamentals of how to play the game (hitting, throwing, lining up, etc.) while having fun doing it. A match will also be played at the end of each day. Also on day three there will be a skills competition with prizes for the winners of each skill.

Camp workers: The entire Michigan State baseball coaching staff will be there, along with many current players.

Equipment needed: Glove, cleats, bat, helmet, batting gloves, water bottle…and any other baseball gear you think you might need.



Full Skills Camp

When: July 18-20

Or: McLane Baseball Stadium

Weather: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day **(First day arrive a little early for registration)

Age: 13 – 18 years old ** (camp participants will be with children of the same age at all times)

The description: We will do daily exercises with individual instructions (hitting, playing, throwing, etc.) and evaluate the skills of each player. There will be daily strikes and a breakdown of positions with individual coaches for each position. A match will also be played at the end of each day.

Camp workers: The entire Michigan State baseball coaching staff will be there, along with many current players.

Equipment needed: Glove, cleats, bat, helmet, batting gloves, water bottle…and any other baseball gear you think you might need.
