An important and deserved victory where the Rossoneri also had to dig. AC Milan’s 2-1 win over Roma was another statement of intent from coach Pioli’s men, who kept pace with Napoli at the top of the table. A key player in the victory at the Olimpico was Zlatan Ibrahimović, who, beyond his goal, achieved a performance of a true leader, as evidenced by our post-match statistics.

- Against the Roma, Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 400th career league goal. His first came on October 30, 1999, when 15% of players who have made at least one Serie A appearance this season were not yet born (74 out of 489).

- AC Milan became the fourth team in Serie A history to win ten of their first eleven games of the season, after Rome, Juventus (twice) and Napoli (twice).

- The Rossoneri became the third team in Serie A history to win 15 away matches in a calendar year, after Napoli in 2017 (18) and Juventus in 2018 (15).

- Zlatan Ibrahimović has now scored 150 goals in Serie A. He is the seventh non-Italian to reach this stage in the competition.

- Roma are the team the Swede has had the most success against in Serie A: he found the net eleven times against the Giallorossi, with seven of those goals at the Olimpico.

- AC Milan have won back-to-back away games against Roma in Serie A for the first time since 2005, when they did so under Carlo Ancelotti.

- No team has scored more goals since out of the frame than AC Milan in the top five European leagues this quarter (five).

- Franck Kessie scored four goals against Roma in Serie A, including three from penalties, making the Giallorossi their favorite victim in the Italian top flight.

- Ismaël Bennacer has now played 100 Serie A matches

ten- Against the Roma, both Rafael Lea and Alexis Saelemaekers made his 50th debut for AC Milan in all competitions.

- Simon kjær made his 50th Serie A appearance for AC Milan.
