Team news, stats and how to follow the action as the Scottish Premiership continues this weekend.

Dundee vs Hearts – Saturday kick off 3pm

Team news

Dundee Manager James McPake fears he could do without around 10 players for the clash with Hearts.

Jason Cummings has been ruled out for discipline, while Charlie Adam, Lee Ashcroft, Shaun Byrne and Cillian Sheridan are injured and Ryan Sweeney is suspended.

Max Anderson, Danny Mullen and Jordan Marshall are also among those McPake has had doubts about his fitness this week.

Hearts will be without Josh Ginnelly, suspended after his expulsion against the Rangers on Sunday.

Michael Smith is coming back from the injury that forced him to a standstill early in the recent victory at Livingston, then sidelined him last weekend. Beni Baningime is still sidelined, while Jamie Brandon is still working to get back in shape after a long layoff.

Team news

Cristian Montano faces two or three weeks with a hamstring injury for Livingston. Tom Parkes remains out with a knee injury. Keaghan Jacobs is back, while long-missing Adam Lewis and Daniel Barden remain on the sidelines.

Ross County Defender Alex Iacovitti is still out with a hamstring injury and will miss the trip. Harry Paton came out in the midweek loss to Celtic at Dingwall with a stroke but will be fit. Elsewhere, Staggies boss Malky Mackay has a few players with bumps and bruises but nothing serious.

Mother’s well have no relaxation in their defensive problems. Center-backs Ricki Lamie, Sondre Solholm Johansen and Juhani Ojala are still missing, so left-back Jake Carroll will again be a substitute in the middle of the four-backs. Mark O’Hara also remains on the sidelines.

Saint johnstone Forward Chris Kane will be missed again as he is self-isolating. Glenn Middleton is available after being ineligible to face parent club Rangers midweek, but Murray Davidson is expected to stay on the sidelines. Cammy MacPherson is out until January, while David Wotherspoon is out for the season.

Highlights of the Scottish Premiership game between Rangers and St Johnstone

Rangers defender Borna Barisic should be available. The left-back was substituted after feeling bad in the 2-0 midweek win over St Johnstone, but has recovered.

Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has some doubts and these players will be assessed on Saturday morning, but Kemar Roofe and Ryan Jack both suffered injuries and will likely not be available until the winter break while Leon Balogun (shot), Filip Helander (knee) and Nnamdi Ofoborh (heart problem) is still on the sidelines.

Dundee United were affected by Covid-19 issues ahead of the Ibrox game. Head coach Tam Courts would not give a precise number of absentees, but more than one player will be missing following positive tests.

Calum Butcher is suspended and Courts have lost Dylan Levitt, Liam Smith, Marc McNulty, Max Biamou and Lewis Neilson to injuries in recent weeks.
