WeCommerce Appoints Former Goldman Veteran Sachs Min as General Counsel

WeCommerce Holdings Ltd., which provides tools for merchants to develop online stores, named the former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Susan Min as General Counsel.

Min until 2018 spent seven years at Goldman, including five as a global head of risk and policy. Prior to that, she was Executive Director and Senior Legal Counsel for Goldman in Hong Kong.

WeCommerce, based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, creates and invests in businesses that operate on the Shopify Inc. platform. Its brands include Pixel Union, Out of the Sandbox, Archetype Themes and Stamped.

WeCommerce president, college dropout and entrepreneur Andrew Wilkinson, co-founded the company with its CEO, Chris Sparling. They had the backing of billionaire Bill Ackman, and the company went public last year.

Min’s selection comes as WeCommerce also announced it has hired David Charron as CFO, effective November 1. Charron joins TeraGo, a provider of cloud, colocation and connectivity services, where he served as CFO since 2017.

Min recently worked for M&M Consulting Group in the Seattle area, according to his LinkedIn profile. His past legal experience includes stints with Allen & Overy, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and DLA Piper.

In her private practice, she has represented public and private companies, as well as sovereign and quasi-sovereign entities in capital market transactions. Her first job was as a lawyer with the Division of Corporation Finance of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
